Preacher Curl - Biceps


  • Adjust the seat of the preacher curl bench, with an EZ curl bar, at the right elevation.
  • The seat should not be low to allow the shoulders to be elevated. Neither should it be so high that you sit hunched over the pad.
  • Grasp the bar using a shoulder-width grip.
  • Using an arc-like motion curl the bar upwards.
  • Do not rock or swing the bar, just curl it. This would enable to work the biceps.
  • Curl the bar, while lifting it towards your chin. Resistance would decrease as the exercise progresses.
  • Gradually, lower the bar and work the muscle.
  • You can use two dumbbells or one arm at a time to do the exercise. This exercise can be done using a close and a medium grip too.
